KEEP THEIR MEMORY ALIVE
Memorial Day 2024
We Honored Your Fallen Hero
And Those In The Memorial Prayer Box
This year in honoring those we always carry with us in the Memorial Prayer Box, we did something more unique and organic to our AO (Area of Operation). Following this year’s Memorial Day parade and ceremony, we rucked in full gear a couple miles to the Absecon boat ramp. Once there, we launched our “RIB”, Combat Rubber Raiding Craft, and paddled 10 miles across the Absecon Bay for a landing at the Brigantine boat ramp. From there rucked another few miles in full gear to the VFW Post with supporters walking along to honor the fallen.
It was a long difficult day but if it was easy, it would not have meant as much. Those we honor deserve the effort.
The weather fluctuated between hard rain, hail, high winds, to calm and sunny. The tide and current refused to cooperate. Dredging equipment laid in the days before created another obstacle and more distance. There are so many photos and a lot of video. I apologize for just posting them all but our schedule is so busy right now that editing is not a priority. Thank you to everyone for your help and support. I want to especially thank our boat team. What an effort you guys put forward to honor the fallen.
