Welcome and Thank You for Your Support. Last Salute military funeral honor guard Ruck March will take place on 11 June 2022. Everyone will ruck up at the rally point at 0800 (8 AM). The march will proceed along the lake’s shoreline and through the woods.
You may walk at your own pace
You may come as a unit (team) or alone
A ruck march is a leisurely stroll through a scenic landscape. Just ask any grunt (infantry). Seriously, you can walk at your own pace and carry whatever pack you are comfortable with. This is an event to remember all those that Last Salute has honored and to help fund Last Salute’s mission to continue.
There will be an “ammo can carry” portion of the event to honor the fallen. It will simply require that you carry one or two “21” pound ammo cans 21 yards. The can carry will be set up between two checkpoints somewhere along the course.
There will be a number of awards including the “High Speed” award for fastest time and the “Light Infantry” award for heaviest load to complete mission.
We will POP SMOKE to start the event by firing our two Civil War cannons.
